Landings!

Today, I finally got a firm grasp on landings. Details can be found at Airways to Airways.

My instructor also gave me some homework. He wants me to read some of the FAR/AIM, part 61 and part 91 specifically. He also told me that if I pushed myself a little, I could take and probably ace the knowledge exam by mid-May or June. Once the knowledge exam is passed, all I need to get my pilot's license is to rack up my hours and pass my checkride. Time to hit the books a little harder...I have a copy of Rod Machado's book that I'll be reviewing, and I'll be bringing my ASA study guide to work and working a little harder on that much neglected tome. If I play my cards right, and my practice exams have good scores, I could conceivably have my knowledge test passed by June. My instructor tells me I'm really, really close to soloing, and then from there it's a matter of building hours and working on my cross-country skills.

The wheels props are turning, and it's looking better and better! Within a few months, if everything goes right, hopefully I can be an FAA-approved private pilot!
