Some good timing, a lot of luck, and an amazing team of flyers...and I was able to capture this shot of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds doing a horizontal bomb-burst.

It was a really, REALLY good airshow. The Thunderbirds were fast, precise, and worked amazingly well as a team. The planes were fast, loud, and clean. The maneuvers? Incredible...at one point, four of the Thunderbirds flew over in perfect formation, feet apart, and as the heads of the crowd turned a fifth bird flew in from behind us and overtook the formation from below. The noise made me jump, and then laugh...it was truly an amazing thing to see.

I will miss the Sun N Fun, but someday I'll be back. Maybe I will have pictures from the EAA AirVenture soon, too...
